With each round lasting no longer than a single match, players can compete in multiple Flash Rounds to rack up as many wins as possible and secure larger prizes at the end of the tournament. These are fast-paced competitions with no brackets or eliminations. We were excited to recently introduce Flash Round tournaments. We also saw more than 500,000 participants take home a prize from our competitions - a number that we’re aiming to beat in 2022. PlayStation players walked away with more than $5 million in prizes across more than 8,000 tournaments.
Last year was our most eventful and competition-filled year so far. Over the next two months, we will offer a collection of new competitive programs for PlayStation Tournaments featuring new opportunities to watch, learn, and play. A players top Master result plus their top four Dojo results counted towards their ranking.As we look back at the past year, we’re grateful for the growth of our competitive gaming community and excited for what lies ahead. The Tour concluded with the third and final stage, the Tekken World Tour Finals, which took place in early 2023.Īll Tournaments included in the League awarded points which were used to rank the players on the Regional Leaderboards in accordance with the table below. Middle East, Philippines & East Asia and Oceania did not have Regional Finals, instead the player with the most points in the Leaderboard in those regions automatically qualified.
For each Region, the best placing players moved on to the last Stage. The second stage included 13 Regional Finals, which were played out from early October to December 2022.
The top performing players from each region then qualified for their respective Regional Finals. Tournaments in this stage awarded points, which was used to rank players in Regional Leaderboards. The first round of play was the Regional Qualifier stage, which included all the Master and Dojo Events and took part from June 24th to October 3rd. The Tekken World Tour 2022 was split into three different stages.
